Informacion: La musica de Shining incita al suicidio y a la automutilacion. "Kvarforth" vocalista de la banda cuenta con placer que mucha gente que ha oido su musica se ha suicidado , bajo la influencia de su musica.
Kvarforth desaparecio el 2006 , creando rumores acerca de su sucidio , se emitio un comunicado en su pagina web acerca de su desaparicion. la banda dijo que continuaria tocando con un nuevo vocalista con el apodo de "Ghoul" , luego en el 2007 en un concierto en suecia fue revelado que Ghoul no existia y era Kvarforth , un concierto extremadamente violento en el cual existieron peleas entre Kvarforth contra Attila Csihar (Mayhem) , Maniac (Mayhem) , y Nattefrost(Carpathian Forest , Natterfrost).
